This week I am honored to be reviewing the newest album from Florida’s very own – Last Grasp. I first saw this band at one of my first local goth nights and it has been incredible to watch them evolve over the years since. From new releases to music videos, I am a huge fan of the Grasp and it is safe to say they live up to their hype live as well.
So without any further blabbering, lets get into the meat of the album shall we 😉
Groovy – a solid opener.

No seriously, I don’t know who this is about (but I’m all ears) and I am genuinely sorry that so many successful artists run into the “haters,” but… I am glad this banger came out of it I TELL YOU WHAT !
As much it sucks to receive the backlash from shitty people in the comments section or wherever trolls like to attack, I will say having a strong hate crew is kind of a sign of success… while I certainly hope that’s not the case here, this song is Kunt
A fabulous KMFDM tribute in both the obvious way but also the banger-esq tunes
Alright so at this point in the blog you’ve probably noticed that I am wildly unqualified to be doing actual music reviews…
But I’m having so much fun teehee !
All of this to say, I don’t have the technical vocabulary to explain why I like this song so much, but to put it in my caveman terms – it just sounds really good. My ears and soul enjoy it.

I am writing this post in a brewery with headphones on (yes I listen to each song like three times while I write these), but I am trying to keep my ass in my seat. There are normal people and children here but mentally I am suspended in a cage above the croud in the Castle Ybor (not a frat boy in sight).

Similar to my Acrylic Caskets review, I lack the vocabulary to proper describe what it is specifically that I am obsessed with but maybe its just the whole song. In its entirely.
Pardon me while I bark like a four on the floor.
I also think this song speaks to me on a personal level. While I can’t speak to Sicilian Grudges on a personal level, I can speak to crazy Irish woman grudges. My mum is the daughter of immigrants and she grew up in a pretty tight knit community of fellow immigrants in Canada – the Irish, the Italians, and the Portuguese.
Pretty cool upbringing if you ask me but she spoke very highly of the Italians, I fear we have a lot in common 😉

Another badass fucking music video, miss things y’all are groovy as fuck !!!!!!
Again, I am writing this in a brewery trying to keep my shit together but between the leg twitching and head banging I have definitely been stared at a time of two.
On a personal note… a moment of embarassing revelation – Last Grasp I think my partner and I are your biggest fans. I apologise, two freaky metal heads were probably not you target audience but we do account for a disturbing amount of listens on your statistic tracking.
Sexpiration has been sung frequently between the two of us in our household. It’s gotten so bad I started singing it at work. So yeah the song is great but a fair warning it may take over your life and consume you and your partner’s personalties.
AnYwAyS – I think this album is a gem. My household is a full of Last Grasp stans. My final review, the album is horny as fuck but kunt was served and slayed so thats alright in my book and you are very safe from the chickenshit column (that’s a Deathproof reference for the only other human being in the world who would get it, Mr. Nate Dawg).
To sum up, listen to the album, support your local scene, and just remember…
